I think *most* people quietly wait for their 'favorites' to be emulated and sing praises to whoever emulated them. I've thanked MAME for Chinese Hero, Zwackery, The Glob, Crazy Kong, Crazy Climber, Atari Tetris, Time Pilot, Pac Man, Night Striker, heck I have 200 favorites I could thank each code for adding to MAME...

Sure I speak out when I disagree with people on an issue, but people are free to ignore my criticism as well as my praise...

I play MAME / Emulation because I get more out of the 200 favorites I play than my Dreamcast, Playstation, Gamecube, heck any console I own...

I still buy games and play my consoles, but my PC gets most of my gaming time and that's 1/2 MAME 1/3 VPIN... and the rest either Commodore 64/Genesis/Super Nintendo/Atari 2600 emulation...

But I think the majority of gamers download and play games and leave it at that...I don't think there's a political or warez kiddy majority...Heck even I buy ports of games in MAME if I think they're worth anything *like the Meday Arcade Treasures 1 & 2*
