On the contrary, there are a few little extra tid-bits, such as an unlockable gallery as well as a sound test I believe... I haven't played with my copy much lately, so I can't remember all the extras. Gameplay wise however, yes, both the SNES and PSX versions are the same. The PSX version has some slightly annoying loading times when moving between different areas as well as getting into battles.
