google for Tsearch it's a complete package to do ure own code finding (it's pretty easy it all comes down to logic). and allaws u to change values of for example lifes etc inside the tool itself. If ure lucky the adresses won't change when u restart a certain application (emulator) and u can just save any code u found ureself.

to give u an idea about the logic :
start a game -> do a unknown value search
lose a life -> do a value has change by 1 search of decrement search
Repeat the previous step a few times or even use a continue option (to use the value has increased search)

eventually u're search will narrow down the results and u can try to change a few values and see if u found the address for the lives or anything else u've been searching for.

pretty easy and u don't need to know any coding language.

there are enough tutorials on code searching also, just do a few searches in google and ure gone.

Pc games usually use DMA so the address will change whenever u start the application (game). but u can bypass that also it's a bit harder to understand howto doh.

once ure doing it u'll start loving it cause u can find nice things it all comes down how inventive u are with the searching options.
