As far i know, only the ISO's of the CD rom's from each CP3 title has been dumped. Nobody's dumped the carts or cracked the encryption.

Also, that shot is trying to make you believe its running in a hacked version of Kawaks. It would be far easier to just write an emu from scratch then hack CPS3 support into Kawaks. Also, judging from the proportions and colour id say
those shots were taken from a Mugen game, Gouki's stage isnt that green and the characters arent that small in proportion to the background.

Show me some perfect Warzard shots and i might believe it.

I agree that these shots look constructed. Just something to get Kawaks newbees a feeling that they are missing out CPS3 while the l33t kids play SF3 on there PeeZees. Emu posing at its best.

I always wondered where the creators of Mugen characters get there sprites. I know there were PC version of some Capcom games before they were emulated, so they just ripped there sprites from those. But where do they get the sprites from CPS3 games. Not from the original arcade Isos I'm sure. I guess from the Dreamcast version but I would like confirmation from somebody who knows about the whole Mugen scene.

That is the only way to get them at the moment and the process of ripping them isn't too hard as the BG planes tend to use a differant pallete, so you can make a macro to remove all of them.

Wrong. Almost if not all the carts are dumped and the contents referenced in the current mame driver.

That is true though.

OG.

When you say 'almost' do you mean all 6 games are dumped but some revisions are missing ?. I know theres 2 revisions of 3rd Strike, the differences are significant enough that most top players only play the earlier version.
