Just wondering was SSF has to offer in the way of commercial game emulation and if I have a prayer at running it. I think the Saturn is scarce enough by now for me to ask this without getting flamed lol.

I have tried to get this emulator running, but it has never worked for me. At startup I get an error message in japanese which I never solved. I have seen screenshots of SSF running commercial games though. So I assume it must work.

Works for some, doesn't for others. No real rhyme or reason as to why.

Give it a try though. As being one of the lucky ones that it works for, I can say that it does run many commercial games at very playable speeds (including Radiant Silvergun, in case you were gonna ask). Most of the problem games are all RAM cart titles.

It requires a CPU with SSE2. You can enable English messages by changing the order in the "default" file.

For a long time SSF was "almost, but not quite". But now that it's out of proto and into alpha, I have to say it's fantastic. I tested it with a bunch of games, and it worked very well, with stable, and acceptable performance, and ran everything I tried except Burning Rangers. At this point it's better than GiriGiri. Get it.

Yep, SSF is definately the best Saturn emulator out there. Can now play my favourite game on the Saturn Guardian Heroes full speed with full graphics (don't know about the sound though).
