What are the differences between ver a and ver b, and which version was the Playstation version based off of?

I'm 99.9% positive ver B was the version playstation was based off of. As for the difference, I'm clueless. I bet sixtoe knows!

Ver.B is the bugfixed version with all of the characters pre-unlocked as well,

....but they worked. I kept going back to the arcade every weekend (sometimes more often) just to see what new characters were unlocked.

On another tangent, has anyone else experienced the bug where Jack 2 starts teleporting all over the screen randomly? I've only encountered it once in the Playstation version, but I've heard of it happening in the Arcade version as well. I remember reading someone on Usenet encountering it and was like, "motherfucker is full of shit" and then a week later I ran into it out of the blue during a 2p game. Never saw it again...crazy stuff.

Don't know, I played it for about one day before i took it out of the cabinet and turned it into a mame cab :o
