Well, I would say that the reason to do the U releases is so that we can find some of the bugs that the developers don't need to spend their time on.

Ok, thats just a push to get more out the door. I'm hoping that one day there will be a public CVS nighly checkout... And have one person maintain whats being commited on a given day. Also allow each developer / group their own stream.
