Like just about anyone else that grew up in the 80's I played this classic, the NES version to be specific. I recently found out that there were two direct sequels and that all of them were released on a number of different systems over the years. My questions are simple: Which version of each game was the best and are either of the sequels worth my time?

The NES version was the one I'm used to and I find it hard to believe anyone improved upon its gameplay. I don't want to go threw all the trouble of tracking down "better" versions only to end up with another case of Super Dodgeball. The NES version of SDB did have piss poor graphics but the gameplay was tops, all the ports (and even the original arcade) I've every played couldn't own up to the NES version in that area *coughNEOGEOcough*.

I was never into the Spy Vs. Spy games but I think you want the C64 versions.

Easily my favorite Spy vs Spy (haven't played the new one, and I'm not counting the friggin' awesome Spy vs Spy board game :( ). One of those all time badass awesome Christmas presents I got when I was younger.

If you are looking for a version of this game to top the NES, you might as well give up now. It doesn't exist.
