Considering other Type-X games are getting PS2 ports (Raiden 3, Gigawing Generations, etc), I don't see why Tetris Grand Master 3 wouldn't come to the PS2 as well.
And seeing how Arika likes to add shit loads of extras into their ports, assuming that they would include 1 and 2 if they ever released 3 would not be that much of a stretch. Afterall, this is the same company that included Superplay DVDs with ESPGaluda and Dodonpachi Daioujou along with adding all sorts of extra features to both games (and set the high watermark that Taito just couldn't reach with their Mushihimesama port)
So yea, the Type-X specs are meaningless.
