Just saw this over at emu9:

".... Xe is a multi system emulator for Windows and Linux that emulates many console and handheld video game systems of the past. Xe is an original emulator written from scratch by one person. It is not a port or collection of other emulators.

It currently supports the following systems:

* SG-1000
* Famicom / NES
* Mark III / Master System
* PC Engine & PC Engine CD-ROM2 / Turbo Grafx 16 & Turbo Grafx CD
* Mega Drive & Mega CD / Genesis & Sega CD
* Super Famicom / SNES
* Neo Geo
* Neo Geo CD
* Game Boy & Game Boy Color
* Game Gear
* Neo Geo Pocket & Neo Geo Pocket Color
* Wonder Swan & Wonder Swan Color ...."

Has anyone tried it? Who is *Jimmy* ? Saturn (!) and PSX is in the works, too, apparently?

I guess that's that. Hadn't made it to the d/l page heh. Still be interested to know if and how well it's working.

Strangely, the Unix version is free...

I actually tried this emulator out a while back... it seemed pretty decent, although I didn't have most of the BIOS files, so there wasn't a lot I could do with it. It also used a strange format for CD images, and I remember I had a hard time convincing it to save my configuration changes. Generally a bit nicer than MESS for the systems it does, but I wouldn't pay $35 for it though.
