I have to write a 3000 word essay on cryptography, and im seriously considering writing it on the various types of protection used in video games as anti bootleg measures, that have been cracked by various people. CPS2 and the NeoGeo C rom stuff springs to mind immediatly, but im sure there's other stuff I could write about. What are your thoughts ?, I know Raz has a lot of info on CPS2 on his site, just wondering where I would get the rest.

Nicola Salmoria sometimes writes about encryption on his blog. Also Charles MacDonald might have something on his website you can use.

Also I imagine the MAME source code contains a lot of information about encryption.

And maybe Nicola Salmoria's essay?
