Actually its going to incorporate a bunch of new/better/updated features. Namely is true multi-monitor support for multi-monitor games (guess its time to try that Tri-Head gadget from matrox now. ;-) But its also for the UI/Artwork system where they will actually be handled as a layers by the gfx card and such. I'm sure there is more, but thats what I remember off the top of my head.
