I just decided to try this sucker out and I have no luck with it so far.

IF I am lucky enough to get the game to boot beyond the bios screen it won't go too far. I always get this same damned error and I know it has got to do something with reading the damn CD I bet. So far I've only had it work once (it being Castlevania SOTN) beyond the start a new game screen. Also I can't seem to have it think I have a memory card. Figured this thing wouldn't be a pain in the ass, but so far it is. Rather have nothing than deal with epsxe and the rest with all those goddamn plugins.

What have you been trying? Did you try to force IoControl ? It may be trying ASPI for some weird reason on your system.

Now that is weird. I thought it came with a preformatted one or some such now a days, but you can go to memory card, click the "..." and type the name of the card you want to create. Should work dandy. Also, you should be able to use the same cards from ePSXe since they're in the same format (IIRC).

IOControl will instantly bomb the sucker so I have it on ASPI.

Well it appears ... and the preformatted don't work/aren't there. I figured out you have to manually go into memory card and type in some random crap, then it will format it within the game, and then it will work for saving.

I'll have to keep an eye out. SO far only have had one successful run with SOTN.

If you're using WinXP, I believe that means that there's something wrong with your system, then.

this should be as fast or faster than epsxe (runs full speed regardless on my beast of a comp) but there is no better way to play SOTN than with this emu ;) unless you're playing it on the real psx of course :P
