I always preferenced the color palatte of C64S over any of the other ones found in other C64 emulators. The palettes in many C64 emulators seem to favor the PAL color scheme more, which appear a bit to 'washed-out' or pastel for my taste (Being a [US] NTSC C64 user). Any who are interested or have similar thoughts, substitute the following lines in the C64.CFG file (Notepad will do fine) in the directory you install CCS64:
