After hearing so much about the Amiga; I had to try it and well it's pretty good. The Turrican series is awesome.
I also tried the Sharp X6800 computer emulator. I was impressed. Ports like Final Fight were pretty much arcade perfect. I loved playing Akumajo Dracula (Castlevania Chronicles) on it.
I never owned a Genesis because the SNES always kicked it's ass but of course I had to try it. There are so many great games for Genesis.
I had to try Neo Geo. I always wanted to own a Neo Geo system but could never afford it. Never owned a TG-16 and always wanted one. Well now I own a TurboGrafx Express with about 7 games but I never play it. I just play my DS. For TG-16 I use my Xbox.
So yeah I'm retro curious. I have tried a bunch of emus for consoles that I didn't own. I just don't touch anything with very crappy graphics like the Atari 2600 or the TI-99/4A. Those games just don't do anything for me. I love the old Nintendo though but compared to the Atari 2600 it has amazing graphics.
My first console I tried was the Atari 2600 and I loved it back then. That's until I touched a NES. I also spent a lot of time on my old TI-99/4A Computer. But now I could not enjoy those games anymore. I also own a Xbox and I can play any Xbox game I want but I rather play SNES or old Arcade games. My Xbox is my emulation machine. Lately I play lots of Nintendo and some SNES games on my Nintendo DS. I don't even play Nintendo DS games that much.
I like playing a lot of retro games. I don't play PC games either even though I have a powerful PC. Especially built for Mame :). First I don't have much time and second I enjoy older emulated games better.
Heck I like playing "Acid Tetris" a pretty sweet Dos Tetris clone. Plays great in DosBox.
