Thanks for taking a look at this :)
None of my audio applications liked the look of the files so I'll have to try and find an audio editor that can open them. I'm on a Mac but can run PC stuff through Virtual PC - does anyone have any software suggestions?
One approach that I tried some time ago was to download a source-code version of Ace to look at the sound routines, but it wouldn't compile in my copy of Visual C++ for some reason...ho hum :0 The MAME source code is a *bit* bloated so I didn't have much luck with this either.
On a general point, does anyone know how the Capcom guys developed all of these games anyway - what languages they used, that kind of thing?
