hi
i am a noob at emulation but i follow mame since 1998.
I saw a pgm clone of mslug called demon front, added a long time ago in the engine, but that didn't work : init fail.

I though ddp2 being newer and fresher game, is emulated, so my question are :
does all pgm have different protection schemas ?
is elsemi the only one working on pgm ?
will one day someone have any interest about closing the pgm emulation as it happened to cps2 ?

this is not a request or anything of the sort, the aim is to understand a bit, and to know if i have to keep the same hope for the following years on mame.

every game has different protection, every game will have to be worked on one at a time, there are no easy shortcuts.

figuring out the PGM protection is very time consuming, for some games we still have no idea how to deal with it.

due to the very different nature of the protection it will never come together like CPS2 did, it will take a long time.
