If Mednafen ever gets a built-in UI and byteswaped incorrectly dumped games on the fly, I think it'd have a real chance of finally catching on. Ootake's limiting factor is that the homepage is in japanese, making it difficult to find on a google search (hell, most people will only go to Zophar's Domain and see the awesomely outdated list)

It'll be interesting to see how PC-FX emulation in Mednafen matures, but either way it's still an ultra niche that caters to very, very few of the few people interested in TG16/PCECD emulation. I'd go so far as to say that there were more good games on the Supergrafx :)

..but hey, I've been using Ootake a lot more recently since it's gotten fairly stable and doesn't seem to shit any funky errors with any of the games I've been throwing at it. I've been meaning to do a runthrough of Ys III CD (especially since I did I&II, Mask of the Sun and Dawn of Ys last year but didn't finish Ys III SNES because I lost my save).
