SubjectForcing slowdown in CPS3 nebula Reply to this message

Is it possible to make SF3 run in slow motion, in any other way than putting the emu in a old PC?

I want to analize the animation in SF3, mainly Alex, Elena and some Ryu too, since how the clothes move around him is also awesome. The game has more info on human anatomy than 10kg of medical encyclopaedias taped together!! =P

I tried staring closely at the tv with the DC version a while back, but I just got dry eyeballs and a headache.

Depending on what cpu you have, it might do the trick, also, try running the DC version on Chankast, it's much slower than the CPS3 emu.

All work and no play makes me..., well, you know the rest.

I ain't poking around the bios for something as dumb as this... I cant afford to replace my cpu if I accidentally fucked it up.

isn't there a throttle of some kind, or some weird software to do such experiments?

You could try using MAME with the -cheat switch, which allows you to underclock the emulated CPUs.

Dont know about nebula but i just tried this with mame32 0.116u2 and it does what your asking:

In mame right click on the game and "play to AVI record" record using full frames (uncompressed) should be about 200mb for 1 round of sf3..
then just play the recorded avi using media player classic and pause the video and keep tapping the right cursor key to play 1 frame at a time. I would make sure you record using 60fps too!

Subjectmh... the mame thingy sounds nice. new Reply to this message
