I installed Mameboy in my EM500 and put the roms in individual directories with in Mameboys Rom folder (ie ROMs\pacman\pacman.5e etc) Mameboy lists the games but tapping play does nothing.
Any ideas?

Don't unzip the roms into separate folders.
Just put the pacman.zip into the rom folder and it should work fine (plus it saves space by keeping them compressed).

I tried this and I still cant get the games to start. Is there a reason mameboy lists the games but then does nothing when I hit play? Shouldnt there be an error message like "Cant find roms" or "wrong format". I simply get nothing, when I tap Play. Whats the deal? I am really looking forward to playing it. But for two days I have got nowhere....

Make sure you have mameboy in the proper folder

\program files\mameboy\

or

\storage card\mameboy\

Also you may need older rom sets for certain games.

Ok I am new to the pocket pc so it might be me, but here goes:

According to File Explorer starting at My Device
Storage Card\MAMEBoy\ROMs\pacman

When I run MAMEBoy it lists Pac-Man, but when I select it and tap Play! nothing happens (the play icon is the same color as the screen background but I believe it is "active")

If I copy and paste the MAMEBoy directory to reflect:
Program Files\MAMEBoy\ROMs\pacman

I get the same results, nothing...

To Play pacman, you should have two zips

pacman.zip and pacmanm.zip

put them both in the roms folder and it should be ok. Also try some other games (dkong.zip etc etc...)

www.mameplay.net has all the mame roms now, so you can download from there.

Thanks for your help.

mameplay.net has around 2000 mame roms available. Much more than a few pages :)) Just do a search for the games you're looking for!

The problem with mameplay is the site is filled with dead pages. Any search I do, it comes up with a 404 error.
I only want a few roms: Pacman, Donkey Kong, DK Jr., Dig Dug.
Is there another site?
