The cfg files for each game will not exist until you run a specific game. The cfg folder will be in the same directory as the executable but the roms can be in a variety of places including: \program files\mamece\roms\ \storage card\program files\mamece\roms\ \My documents\ \My documents\roms\
Mamece3 does require roms from Mame version .36 Some older roms will not work.
