I'm looking into these two different machines and I'm really curious about the performance on each. I've done a lot of reading on the 'net but I haven't been able to find a resource that tells me which is better for games or specifically MAME. If anyone could give me some information I would appreciate it.

Thanks!

E125 has 32 MB RAM which probably makes it better choice if you can live with it's clunky design. Everything else (processor speed, software compatibility) is the same. In my opinion, EM-500 has better gamepad and is cheaper.

I've been thrilled with my E-125. I have a 128mb X8 CF card in it too. I considered it (because a friend has a E115 and loves his) and I considered the iPaq. But since I hated my Compaq desktop so much, (and my portable years ago) both of which were the worst computers out of the several dozen I've owned since 1979... I vowed I'd never own another Compaq computer) that and with reading reports of cracked screens and DUST under being able to get into the screen - that was enough for me.
I've read you can use a hair to fish out dust - now there is a game you can't play on the Casio ;-)

I haven't noticed clunky design, it's been extremely functional. I'd pick this one again if I had to do it over.
