SubjectMAMECE3 with @migo Pocket PC new Reply to this message

Everything seems to work ok, except for one thing. I hit a button to bring up the menu but none of the buttons on the device act as an enter key on the menu, so i can't get into the key config on the device. Any suggestions.

BTW, the @migo is perfect for MAME, same speed and processor as the iPAQ with no button issue. 8 way game pad with four buttons on the right laid out like the playstation (diamond shape).

I was curious about the @migo. It sounded like the iPaq and I suspected it would behave like one. Good to here that they don't have the iPaq button problem.

The Enter key is mapped to the Record button on the iPaq. If this doesn't work then they may be using a different scan code. you could try to map the button using dsktop mame and then copy the cfg file to your device.

But they do have a button problem. He just didn't mention it. ;) The Amigo can only recognize 2 buttons at one time. So you can't move diagonally and use an action button at the same time for example. Still way better than the useless iPaq "gamepad." But not as good as the fully functional Casios.

I'm still waiting for Casio's supposed new model release at the end of June. :) Gimme an EM with 200+Mhz and 64MB RAM and I'm buying!

Aha, so there is a problem :) I thought I heard mention of some kind of issue when I was reading the brighthand board.
Will the new Casio have a CF slot or that dippy memory stick?
If its a CF slot I may buy one as well. I am the ultimate gagdet gurue and hate to have to decide. Thats why I have an iPaq AND a Casio E115 :)
If compaq fixes one thing in any of their future releases I wish it would be that gamepad. But if their previous attitude about the joypad is still the same as when the problem was reported to them, we will never see it fixed. A shame really.

I didn't experience that problem with the @migo. I can move diagonally, and press two keys at once.

The @migo has a built in PCMCIA card (Useful for PC Card AND CF) and swappable main battery.

So far, the ultimate PocketPC to date.
