Install it on the storage card, but create a folder in main memory and put the hiscore.dat file into(I think it should be \Program Files\mamece\). The hiscore.dat file is only like 50k or less I believe.
This should allow you to put everything else on the storage card and still keep save games, while . :)

I had to hard code the path for this becuase I didn't want to add all kinds of code to a core file (hiscore.c).
