Okay, I have an overclocked E-125/203 MHz. I downloaded the self-installing MEGA exe and it bombed. It said something along the lines of something doing an illegal operation and to try and reinstall again. Same error again. So I downloaded the CAB file for the MEGA install. Copied it to the PPC, clicked on it...everything went fine for a little bit and then it gave an illegal error...froze up...and basically reset my machine back to level one...brand new...

I needed to cleanly reinstall everything anyway, but hopefully you get this fixed. Lucky for me I had a backup of my personal data.

if you have further questions, email me at:

I am sorry you had so much trouble trying to install this.
It is possible that the overclocking caused some glitch to occur.
You may want to try the cab file again before you reload everything.
I only tested it on the E115 but it should work fine on any Casio.
Can other E125 owners confirm or deny if you were successful with an installation using the cab?

I'm taking a guess that you have Win2K on your desktop? The selfinstaller doesn't seem to work on that OS.

In any case, I'll retest the downloaded cab file again just to be sure.

Cheers,

I have an E-125 OC to 180 and didn't had any problem installing the CAB. If you want to (and if Okey with the Techmaster) I have a copy of the actual EXE files and all you have to do is copy the exe files to your Storage Card like the old way of installing MEGAMameCE3. Let Me Know.

No problem here. The goal is to get it running correctly whatever it takes :)

FYI, I retested the cab file by downloading it and rerunning it on my E115. I had no problems during the install.

Here's a link to the MegaMameCe3 exe. This is not the CAB file and it's not the self installation file this is the actual Executable (This is how to install it the old ways). For some reason I like to install it this way (maybe I got used to it this way)and for those of you that like it the same way this is for you. This is the MIPS version only.
http://home.pacbell.net/mariomag/MEGAMameCe.zip
BTW the files it self is about 2.14mb and when extracted is approx 8mb so I encourage you to keep it in your storage card.
To install it all you have to do is:
1) Unzip the file
2) Copy the MameCE Folder to your Storage card (ie. Storage Card/MameCE/)
3) Make sure you have GX.DLL in the Windows Directory of your PocketPC.(Windows/ )
4) You can either create a shortcut of the MegaMameCe and place it under Windows/Start Menu/Programs/
5) Place the roms under the the Roms Directory (ie Storage Card/MameCE/Roms/)
For more Info just Read the ReadmeCE.txt included. Enjoy the best emulator in the PocketPC ever.
Enjoy!

I beleive they are doing a hardware overclock. Check out the Brighthand Site for more info on hardware OC.
