I have an @migo, and have also been struggling with the same thing. The only way I've found to remap is through mame for windows and then copy the cfg file to my pocket pc.
Here's the coresponding values I've found:
LCTRL ESC 3 or 1 TAB ALT or 2
left, right, up, down are the same
I have yet to find (in PocketNES it shows the same address as the record button on the iPAQ), , or buttons.
No matter what button I put in the default config as the select button, it doesn't work.
For example if I set it as TAB which works as the key in games, it still will not act as select in the config menus on the @migo. Very strange to me.
