I have been trying to get MAMEce3 to run on an iPAQ 3150 Monochrome with 16 mb ram/rom. I have the games api installed, as well as the newest rom version from Compaq(1.65). Will MAMEce3 run on this device? Or will it only run on a color model or a model with more memory. I get the Fatal Error that other people are getting, along with the blank screen. The roms work fine with MAME32 for the PC. I am installing this program from a Windows 2000 machine, does this have an adverse effect? Thanks in advance.

MameCE3 doesn't currently run on monochrome models.
I am looking into it.

Possibly. I haven't really started on it but I think a few lines of code need to be added to the video subroutines. The hardest part will be the testing since I don't currently own one.
