Hello everyone!
Just thought I'd update you on MameCE3 status.
Programming time has been at a premium but I have spent some time on MameCE3.
1. Sound improvements - I keep pounding away at the sound routines but I can't seem to get them perfect. I did get that background noise to go away, thank heavens. Any remaining noise is actually sound that isn't playing at the proper frequency or something.
I will continue working on it at sometime soon.
2. On screen Buttons - I managed to get an on screen button working correctly! I now need to fine tune it and maybe create a second one. The question is how much screen to give to the button? I also want to add an option to enable or disable use of the on screen buttons. So those devices that don't have trouble will not have to see them :)
3. Very preliminary analysis of added mono support - I have looked at some code but have not gotten any further.
That is about it so far. I will next go thru my list and try to work on the items that I may be able to knock out quickly. I can't predict when the next release will be but if I had to guess, maybe a few weeks or sooner.
