SubjectButtons working w/ Jornada 568? Reply to this message

I have been thru these posts, and there seems to be some uncertainty about whether you can really get MameCE working, on the Jornada 568.

I've tried every button, to no avail. And I'm not even sure how to exit the program properly, shy of a warm reset.

Any advice?

Yes the buttons work on the Jornado 568. You need to download the cab file for the ARM processor.
The autoinstaller version hasn't been updated yet.

Master of Tekh,

Okay, thanks for the clarification. Buttons work swell, and I'm loving it!

Hi,

Even downloading the arm cab, I've the same prob (the buttons don't respond, and I'm not able to say 'OK' on the first screen of a rom launch).

Have you a solution ? I've a HP565, french version. I've made a hard reset, and reinstalled mame, without more result (downloaded 2 times also).

To acknowldge OK hit the Left direction and then the right direction on the gamepad. that should get you past the OK screen.

hehe :)

Of course I know that. The fact is that on the HP, it is not possible. I've also tried all the combinations possible, but unfortunately, nothing appens. The only way is reset :(

Notice that on the forum for pocketgb, there is the same prob evoqued. The explanation for this prob is that the mapping capture the buttons, and the only way to be able to play is to 'unmap' the buttons. I haven't tried that, because I need my buttons to be mapped, and even if mame or pocketgb run well doing that, it's a constraint too much important. (sorry for my bad english)

Strange.
I can get it to work fine on my HP 568. The program should take over control of the Buttons without unmapping them (except during game play).
Are you sure you downloaded the proper file? The autoinstaller version is not the proper version and will not work. The keys will be unuseable.

If you download the cab file it should allow you access to the buttons and escape the games properly.

I think I've the 'prob of buttons' or prog of gapi on my hp. It's the only response I see for my prob :(

So I'll wait for a solution for this prob, hopping it will solve my problem.
