SubjectWhat games are playable? new Reply to this message

I looked all over the site, I can't find a list of playable games anywhere. Can someone help? I tried downloading the MEGA exe, but WinZip won't read it and I can't run it because I don't have ActiveSync. I'm trying to decide whether to get one, and MAME is a huge factor in my decision.

What games run fast enough to be playable? I'm sure that stuff like Ms. Pacman and Donkey Kong should be fast enough, but what about 1985 or 1987 era games? It would be great if I could play something like Sky Shark, but I don't know if the framerate would be too choppy to be possible.

Thanks!

Simpler games work fast enough, just as you thought, but even games like Galaga (which has 3 Z80 processors) are not quite fast enough.

1942, 1943, Amidar, Arkanoid, Bomb Jack, Commando, Crazy Kong, Dig Dug, Donkey Kong, Frogger, Galaxian, Gun SMoke, Moon Patrol, Scramble, Zaxxon, etc are fast enough and very playable
