I am looking at buying a new Pocket PC 2002 device and would love to run MAMECE. The Toshiba is a nice unit, but its nav pad is a bit soft (it feels like it may give out after intensive usage). The 3800 series Ipaq has a great screen and has a button on the top right hand corner for using in landscape mode (Does MANECE support landscape ?). I don't like the design of the HP (too many reason to go into here !). However, the ipaq and toshiba only support 4 way movement on the nav pad. The new casio supports 8 way movement. What movement does MANE CE support ? Which would be the best for gaming ? Any thoughts. Thanks

The iPAQ 3800 supports diagonals now, versus the 3765 and older iPAQ's. Mamece3 does some landscaping but I have found some games will not do landscape. The only thing I can think of is when the horizontal resolution is greater than 320 pixels the game will not go into landscape mode. This is what I have come up with so far Techmaster.

While I would say the 3800 is best for Mamece3 it does suffer from a GAPI slowdown issue with most other games. While Techmaster corrected this with Mamece3, RocketElite is the only other game where the author has made changes to correct the speed issue. In my opinion this keeps the 3800 iPAQs from being the king of gaming PDAs. My HP568 just smokes my 3835 in the speed department. Of course the funky joypad (on either PDA) doesn't help either. I don't know much about the E200. Casio resolved their GAPI problems with the E200 so maybe this might be a good choice. I don't know if Mamece3 supports it at this time though. I hope this helps.
