I installed MegaMAMECE3 on my Jornada and I can't seem to get it working. The main application loads fine, but when I seelct a game, the screen just turns black for about 30 seconds, then the game selector screen comes back.

Are there some special options I need to set for the newer Jornadas? I have plenty of memory available (well over 20MB free before I run the aplication).

Thanks in advance for any help!

Did you also install the Game Roms for the games you wish to play?
If so, did you try a few of the older classics first such as pacman, frogger, or tempest? The newer the game (and Larger the Rom) the higher chance the game just doesn't currently work in MameCE3.

I just got the HP Jornada 567, Regarding the key configuration, I can't seem to locate the tab key to reconfigure the button assignment. Any suggestion?

Regarding the orignal question... Yes, I installed the ROMs (by the way, should you install the ROMs into the root of the ROMs folder or can you put them in subfolders of the ROMs folder?). I got 1943 to work, but Frogger was a no go.

And seconding the other question in this thread, is there any way to change button assignments?

Thanks.

You should put the Zipped up Roms files in the root of the ROM folder (one zip file for each game or game and child games).
I suspect you have a newer frogger then. One that was modified in the newer releases of Mame.

You can change button assignments by using the Mame UI screen. However this screen was disabled in the last release (it kept accidently popping up when I hit the action button, so I disabled it). Howeever you could reprogram the game in Desktop Mame and then copy the cfg file to your PocketPC. cfg files are cross compatible as are hi scores.
