hey all, spare me some help, please...
I have an ipaq 3650 and just installed MameCE and I'm eager to get it running. At first I was black screening on all games, but after some searching on this board, I tried a v.36 (i believe) rom (robby roto) and it ran, with no sound. I tried iMame and that runs most roms, though w/o sound as well. I have the latest, i believe, gx.dll's and the latest pocket pc 2002 update for my ipaq. I downloaded some wavedev.dll driver fix for crack/popping -- could thais have fudged the bucket? Sound works on pocketNES tho...

So, any suggestions for the sound problem?
And, perhaps more importantly, any help on getting roms of a specific version? Perusing the various binary newsgroups and websites I can find games pretty well -- but I dont know how to get specific versions of roms, the v.36's I guess are what I'm after. Lastly, is there software to verify the version of a rom?

thanks in advance for enlightening the n00b.

Check the box in options to Enable Sound :)
You'll have to do it each time you run MameCE3. In one of the next couple releases, I will store those settings so it will remember them.

In the Binary groups, if you ask nicely someone will usually post them. If you ask for specific ones, it will make your request more likely to be filled.

Getting an older copy of Mame32 would allow you to audit for the older ROMS.
