Thanks for the ipaq trick, I will try this.
As I said, you can upload the modified version of the Mame CE 9.4 with the task bar removed. There is also some performance gain.
I've tested on Ipaq 3630 but should works on other models. It's fixing the bug when the user was tempted to click on the (X) button when playing (badly behave).

Since no more taskbar, I've got +3 fps gained on some game. Also looks nicer in full screen.
