Why would you want to install it in the iPaq FileStore. You should only store important information there. Anyway I had a similar problem by installing it into main memory. I would get a black screen. It was fixed by freeing up more RAM. So you may try that.
I see you have a 3970. A friend of mine told me that it has a bigger software bundle than the 3950, which I have. Can you tell me the software it brings so I can know what Im missing.
