Subjectmapping keys on HP Jornada (928) new Reply to this message

Hi all,
Just bought a Jornada 928. I think it's very similar to a 568, but with a built in phone.

I've installed the program, and it loads up fine. Games load, 'OK' is fine, via the directional pad, but none of the four buttons work, so I can't do anything once started.

I've read all the posts, and have been given a few ideas. Looking at the HP software, I can remap the buttons, but only to programs, rather than keys, so I don't know what characters to map in the 'default.cfg' file so they'll correspond to button values.

Please could anyone with a suggestion let me know, even if you're not sure? If you've got it working with another HP pocket PC, please let me know how.

You've no idea how infurating it is to see a beautiful miniture of your favourite game load up, but not be able to play it! :-)

Regards,
J.

Unfortunately I don't have an answer to your Jornada question, and in fact I have the exact same quesstion
myself with my Cassiopeia 125. How the heck do I remap
buttons to actually be able to play these cool retros?!
Even though the Instructions say which buttons map to which
functions, none of them seem to work - right off the bat I
can't seem to "insert coins" with the action button so I
can never play :(((

I have just bought a Jornada 928 and have loaded MAME CE but I can't add a 'coin', so can only watch the games demos. I used to have a Jornada 545 and this worked perfectly (I only had 16 mb ram), so PLEASE PLEASE can anyone solve this problem?? Thanks Helen.
