Hello,

I wanted to ask the forum some questions:

Is there a MameCE-specific FAQ, I've read the mame one,
but can't get to a CE specific one... I think it would be great to have one accessible through MameCE web site. With some sections related to usage (I think about buttons remapping & such frequently encoutered problems...) and some other section targetted at newbie Mame-WinCE developpers, like me...

BTW, The sources linked on MameCE website are for the 9.3 version only, whereas I saw 9.4 ones refereced in previous posts on this forum. Is there another web site or location where MameCE developpers met and/or where updated sources resides ?

I put the myself-compiled mamece3.exe on my XScale device, replacing the old one (from installed binary version)
and run it, it did show more games as available (installed was the minimalist mamece & new one was the mameceall), but I didn't get one of them working, they made mamece3.exe trap, right after having pressed the button(s) to pass the legal & game presentation screens, with a WinCE error: Illegal operation... Additionally the screen settings seemed to be wrong as I couldn't see the full message...

Could it be related to the fact that I changed the project settings to optimize for speed in evc ? or something else I got wrong ?

Any help would be appreciated...

Hello,
1. There isn't a current FAQ on the Web site but there is a top3FAQ in the Emulator. If I ever get some free time maybe I will write a FAQ for the site.

2. The button problems should now be solved. I have a key remapper in the newest Release.

3. As for the source code. I've just been a bit lazy in updating the link. Try it now and you should get the current source.

4. Developers?:) There is basically just me and this forum for MameCE3. Occasionally Marconelly (and sometimes Darren) add their advice and skilled comments here in the forums.

5. As for errors and a (CE)BSOD, Remember to have the GAPI library included and test on a real device if possible. I did some recent rudimentary testing with the x86 Emulator and the x86 GAPI dll, however I have not tested any screen routines with the emulator and x86 Emulator. Most of my tests are with my old Casio E115.
