I have an ipaq 3630 and mame works fine but when trying to press 2 keys at the same time, e.g jump and run, it will not work. Have tried latest versions and older vesions. \my friends 3970 works fine with pressing both at the same time.

This is a know hardware bug with the iPaq 3600 Series Devices. The device does not accept multiple button presses. The only workarounds were:
1. Buy a gamepad addon device,
2. Set the Action button (pushing the gamepad center) to Fire button 1 and program both run and jump (or 2 moves simultaniously) for 1 button.
