Hello,

I have this problem, I put mamece3 in

\hp safe store\program files\mamece

and roms in

\hp safe store\program files\mamece\roms

also I have tried many different locations for mamece and roms:

\program files\mamece
\archivos de programa\mamece

My problem is that mamece doesn't list any games in the rom list.

How do I know wich version of roms I have? wich version of roms should I have to get mamece working? wich location in my jornada shold mamece be stored? in the storage card? main memory? hellllpppp???? :(

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
mordak

I had this same problem on my new Dell Axim. It appears to be a bug. There is a workaround, though. If you select "Show all roms" from the options, then you can still access the games. Just make sure the roms dir is a subdirectory of the main mame program.

MameCE works on a storage card, and doesn't seem to affect performance. I have the exe and the ROMs stored on my SD card, and the game performance for most games is fine, even with sound.

I'll be posting a detailed description of my MameCE experience with the Dell 400mhz Axim when I get a chance.

OK, I think I have cracked it. THe Roms I had was too new. You need to use the older roms .36
They will then display in your list and will be playable!!
