Since many seem to ask this, I decided to re-post it. This is from a previous post I made a few months back. Hope this helps:

...Well I decided to pick up an HP Jornada 568, and the following are my test results so far. I have found it to be too slow unless you turn off the sound option.

(framerates are WITHOUT sound)

Totally playable
----------------
Bagman - 100%
Centipede (rev 3) - 100% (almost too fast!)
Congo Bongo - 100%
Donkey Kong - 100%
Donkey Kong Junior - 100%
Frogger - 100%
Galaxian (Namco) - 100%
Green Beret - 95%

Phoenix (Amstar) - 100%
Pooyan - 100%
Puck-Man (Japan set 1) - 100%
Rally-X - 90%
Up'n'Down - 100%

Very Playable
-------------
1943 - 75%
Amidar - 90%
Anteater - 85%
Elevator Action - 85%
Missle Command (set 1) - 85%
Star Wars - 80%
Water Ski - 90%

Slow, but somewhat playable
---------------------------
Arkanoid (US) - 50%
Burger Time (Data East set 1) - 55%
Pengo - 55% (Right-side of screen cut off slightly)
Turbo - 50% (borderline here)

Works, but really too slow
--------------------------

Somethings wrong
----------------

Galaga (Namco) - 40% (Can't insert credit)
Krull - 90% (Need to remap controls)
Xevious (Namco) - 30% (Can't insert coin)
Joust - Can't get past factory settings
Pole Position - 45% (can't get past system check)

Zoo Keeper (set 1) - Can't get past config screen
Tapper - (Screen size wrong - only see like 15% of screen)

Crossposted
--snip!--

I have done this on the PC version and mameCE.

You need to reset the game from the in game menu. This will kick it out of the annoying static 'system settings' or whatever message. It will go through the same sequence as last time after you do this, BUT it won't stop at that screen; It continues on to the drop coins screen. I have tested this on joust green/white after reading your post.

Slack on brothers.
