SubjectWhich was the first IPAQ without the button problem? new Reply to this message

Hi all,
I often see offers for older IPAQ models that I would be interested to buy (since they are not too expensive), but I'm never sure whether a particular model still had the "button problem" or not.
Which model was the first one where Compaq had solved this problem? Was it the 3850, 3870 or 3970? Or was already the 3760 ok?
Owners of the above models: please tell me if you have the button-problem or not (i.e. can you press more than one direction+button simultaneously?), thanks in advance.

I play MAMEce v9.5 on a 3800 and it works great. No button problems whatsoever.

The 3600 Series had the problem. I am not too sure about the 3700 but I think it also had it as they used most of the same components in it.
