Does MameCE3 support cheats or not?

I put the "cheats.dat" file in the Mame folder, but the "Cheats" option does not come up when I go into the game configuration ("tab" on the PC version).

Does it have to be included when you compile, etc.?

I dont think cheats are currently supported. Perhaps in the next release.
