Hello.

I'm new to this forum (but not to MAME). I have an IPAQ 3955, and my wife loves the Tetris (atetris) arcade game. I tried loading MAMECE (which doesn't support it), and then MegaCE (which does). However, I'm trying to understand a few things.

First, when I press the buttons, it appears that the game functions, as well as the IPAQ functions, activate. In other words, if I press button 3 I add a coin and open up my inbox. Is there a way to stop this?

Also, the game screen appears to be larger than the display. I tried the rotate features, but nothing happened. Did I do something wrong?

Finally, I'm trying to understand the button mapping. It looks like I have the gamepad button, the four action buttons, and the voice recorder button to work with. It looks like I want to keep button 1 free for escaping from the game back to the main menu. The gamepad button looks like the basic action button, but when I press it it also displays the MAME configuration screen. Are there any strategies for button management that anyone can share?

I'll try and find Tetris to test it on my version of MegaMameCE.

When you press the buttons its very strange they act as the Ipaq functions. I had an Ipaq 3970 last year and i didnt have any of these problems, very strange.

As for the screen being larger i'll have to get the rom to test it out. Some games are a bit off screen but i've never had one to this extent you mention

My buttons went crazy, everytime i pressed a button the menu came up over the game. I had configured all the keys but this still happened. In the end Techmaster told me to delete (could be the CFG folder ?) which basically got rid of any corrupt key combinations and reset them all.

Sounds to be the same problem you are having though. Check with Techmaster but i'm sure you delete that folder to get it reset. Hope this was some help
