Which is the best PDA to use with MAME these days?

Do they pretty much all work with MAME, or are there some operating systems that MAME simply wasn't designed for.

Perhaps anyone with a PDA or PocketPC or PPC that works with MAME can just reply to this post with the model number of their device.

Well, I would say a PDA that runs PocketPC. Also, one that runs a 624MHZ Xscale CPU. And decent controls. For the best controls use the Asus A620, but that is not a 624 unit. You can overclock the Asus to 520 or so, but that is still not the fastest.

Personally, I use a Dell Axim X50v with an overclocking program. I overclock to 728MHZ. I get decent results as well. Most games run pretty good except for the one that are broken. Sound is still an issue with MameCE...it either works or it don't or it is scratchy sounding.

I use MegaMAMECE 9.5, which is the latest. I get full speed (60FPS) on alot of games; Frogger, Donkey kong/DK JR, Jungle King, Zaxxon, Asteroids, and about 50 other games. My fave is Congo Bongo and Q*bert.

You can pick up an Axim X50 pretty cheap nowadays too.

Does ur Dell Axim X50v freeze at any random time when u run MegaMame? I have an original Dell Axim X5 Xscale 300 and MegaMame freezes at anytime. Sometimes immediately after start up not to mention runs pretty slowly. It is unusual because a friend of mine has a HP IPAQ with an ARM processor at 266MHZ and runs faster and I mean a lot faster than my 300MHZ Dell without any freezing at all. Which makes me wonder if MegaMame is better suited for ARM processors or just IPAQ models. Does anyone own an IPAQ model with a processor other than an ARM that runs MegaMame without freezing up?

ok..i have an NEC 790(upgraded 780) it has a MIPS processor. would the MAME CE work on my NEC? i adore my lil tech toy and was rather hoping MAME would work on it.
