I installed it on a MotoQ and there are issues. While the games could be played, they have problems with sound, display and speed (for newer games). Sound isn't faithfully emulated on the Q and the volume can't be controlled. Display at the default setting will cut off the bottom 25% of the screen, it can be auto-scaled, but then pixels are missed. Speed is fine for older games, but games like off-road run very slow.
To install I copied the CE executable to my storage card and created a 'roms' folder. The installer package for v9.5 wouldn't work.
Probably you have difficulty with MAME on your smartphone.
