I have recompiled the SH3 Build for use on the Jornado. the link is:

let me know how it works. (Try it with the gameing buttons enabled and disabled, pass the results back to me.
Thanks.

Using the regular MameCE3SH3 build that Marco pointed out as being updated (the .exe has the 010301 date) here is what I have. Results are the same as they were before the fix. I assume you programmed Escape to the action button (per the Readme file even though it hasn't been updated with button fix). Did you program anything to the Record button? Either way the button problem still exists with gamepad enabled and disabled. Thanks for the effort Techmaster, please don't give up :-)

That one was not changed, only recompiled, so you will see the same behavior.
Try the link I posted in the original message.

Just tested the new version with the correct link. You have fixed the 'esc' button, I can now escape from a game back the main menu. But now there is another problem and I hope other SH3 owners can verify this. I have lost left, right controls, whether I have them mapped to hot keys 1,2 or for the shooters a separate profile, mapped to the rocker up, down. Either way I can't move left or right. Up, down movements using the default profile are okay it seems and add coin, fire works also. I tried with gamepad enabled and disabled too. Thanks for your efforts Techmaster, I know it is tough figuring this out without the hardware.

This one is a keeper. All the keys work again including 'esc'. Thanks Techmaster. If no one else has problems and when you get the time could you please update the big build with this fix. Thanks again for patching this baby up.

Yup, works great, you're a beautiful person Techmaster!

Now if I could only get the roms working from my storage card...

I'll reexamine the storage card code. Is it the regular build or the Extra large one?

I am jealous, I get the Error message 'MameCE3 is not a valid Windows CE application' on my 720, any ideas

Isn't the 720 use the Strongarm processor? If so this is for the SH3. And since it uses GAPI I don't think it will work on anything other than a PocketPC so the Jornada 680, 690 are out the question too.

It's the regular build.
My Jornada 545 has German language version of Windows CE in it. Could this cause the issue?

I'm not sure, different language may be a problem. I'll recheck the code anyway. Can anyone confirm or deny that this works as expected on a US version device?
Ie the MameCE3 exe in memory and the roms on the storage card.

Yes it does. The paths are:
Program Files\mamece\mamece3.exe
\\storage card\Program Files\mamece\roms

Thanks. That means it could very well be a language translation issue.
