While it is ok to have more half-working new drivers I think it is better to make the ones now present more useable. If possible in a future release could you add support for sound samples rather than emulated or no sound at all for those games that use multi CPUs? Games like DK series, Galaga etc are way too slow on my pokey E-125 to emulate those extra sound CPUs. Just run out and buy an iPAQ? No, I don't like the display or the inability to press more than one button at a time. It would be nice to have the game playable with sound. Sound seems to be a favorite area of neglect for mame developers. Without sound you are missing half of the nostalgic game experience.

Thanks

I hear what you are saying and agree in some respects. Sound definitely adds to the game nostalgia. Problem is that sound is my weakest point (not my only one but probably my worst area). Also, disabling sound processors seems to not add to much more to the emulation. The Casio version got slower when I switched to the newer MAME .36Final code. In time I expect to resolve this slow down. Hang in there. I'm sure it will only get better.
