How do you get Joust, Defender, and other games to run. I start it up and I get to the factory reset screen and it just sits there. What keys to I need to press to get it going.

When it says "FACTORY SETTINGS RESTORED" or whater, exit
back to the game selection. Then try playing again. It
should go on into attract mode now (it works for me with
MAMECE-10X). If not, you'll need to enter the UI (press
the voice record button for most MAMECE builds) while the
game is running (i.e. stopped at the FACTORY SETTINGS screen) and configure the "KEYS (THIS GAME)". There should
be one for "advance" or something. Try mapping that.
Once you've gotten past that screen once, you don't need to
anymore. It's just for the first time the game is run.

Alternatively, you can get a .cfg file for the game(s) you
want from someone else who has run it, or from the same version of desktop MAME.
