I have an ipaq, and i miss star wars with sound. Can it be fixed? Also, I don't know if 999 still checks this board, but he made virtual pads for both pocketnes and neogeopocket. Maybe he can make one for mamece?

Heh. I do not intend to belittle 999, nor his useful contributions; but drawing a virtual controller is one thing... implementing it in the program is quite another.
A pretty picture of a controller is useless unless touchscreen control is supported by the program. Techmaster was working on a it a while ago, but I don't know how progress is.

I just (finally) bought me a book on WinCE programming, so maybe one day I'll know wtf I'm doing enough to implement something like that :)

WRT sound, as it turns out, sound stuff is the weakest point for both myself and Techmaster. So until one of us learns more about it, or someone with strength in that area contributes to the project, I'm afraid little improvement will made :(

You also? I picked up Windows CE Technology Tutorial by Chris Muench :)

On screen buttons shouldn't be too hard to implement. As soon as I finish reading my new programming books I'll have one whipped up in no time :)

Seriously, I supsect it will be somthing like creating a button and then assigning code to it.

Cheers,

Hello,

It's been a long time, I'm sorry.

Feels good to get back to the roots of gaming emulation ;)

I'd be more than pleased to contribute to the MameCE project, however as Darren has pointed out, there's not much use for a skin without a backend to it.

I've got a lot going on as far as my contributions to the scene is concerned. Perhaps by the time Tek is done reading his books, I'll be done with the commitments I have made to various authors out there.

Things are looking good for PocketPCers I can tell you that much.

Take care, and I'm glad to be back.

999

Glad to see you back 999 :-) Enjoing the game of Quake? :-)))

Don't worry about the MAME CE virtual buttons. I'll make them when they become necessary :-) Or we can both make them and then Tech will have to code the virtual skin chooser as an option ;-)
