hi there, I have downloaded the excellent mame for windows ce (I have an iPAQ). When I bring up the menu to change the keys I am unable to do anything, except for quit the game, bring up the menu and start the game.

This seems weird; I did it once, but now my keys seem locked into position (I was playing with setting the pause button).

has this happened to anyone else? I have tried copying the mame file across again but it makes no differnece. If I try to jump in something like wonderboy, it pauses, then if I jump again it lets me....

thanks for your help

Cameron

Try deleting all files from the CFG folder. See if that helps.

Delete all the files in cfg folder to start clean(do not do this if you have some key configs set for a specific game). Use the Record button, once to clear the entry for a key then kit the key you want to perform that function.
(ie scroll down to pause, hit record , then hit button 2 to reassign the button2 to pause)
